INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Managing large portfolios of properties can be
a difficult job. Deciding which property to renovate first or which repairs
to complete first and keeping track of all of your progress is overwhelming.
EMG has developed a standard database management system from data collected
during our facility assessments, which is easily tailored to suit each
client’s individual needs. Data collected on-site populates a shared
database with the capacity for report generation that enables our client
to schedule maintenance and capital projects based on priorities.
For every building system and component that
we assess, EMG estimates the remaining useful life and cost to replace
the component. The database shows the estimated year that the replacement
will be required and groups deficiencies into major priority categories.
The database also stores the inventory of the facility spaces and square
footage allocations.
The database supports digital copies of EMG’s
reports, maps, photos and other related documentation. It allows the client
to query various data combinations as well as assist in funding requirements
for deficiencies and capital projects.
